Long reining and groundwork for performance training and problem solving Caroline Baldock's background as a professional jockey, and collaboration with Monty Roberts and other skilled horsepeople gives her a unique approach to horse training that she would like to share with you at Wildwoods Equestrian Centre in Surrey, starting on Monday 20th February: The first will be an evening lecture on horse communication with hands on handling for the last hour. The second will be a day for people who have not long reined before.  We will go through trust building exercises, then on to practical application and dressage from the ground. The third workshop will be more advanced long reining with practical application of dressage from the ground. The last workshop will cover problems with horses and why they occur.  We will be looking at building a program for the horse with an understanding of what horses need and how to maintain interest and develop a relationship with the horse that is deeply beneficial and touches enjoyment and affection, building valuable connections that sustain performance. If all four workshops are attended and standards of excellent reached, a certificate will be awarded.
